Michael Overbeck (b. 1996) is a photographer and director living in the Coast Mountains of British Columbia.
Raised in this environment, his perspective developed through time spent moving through place – running, biking, skiing – building an understanding of effort, rhythm, and presence. He began photographing at thirteen, drawn to documenting moments that felt real, fleeting, and lived.
His work prioritizes presence over observation. Collaborating closely with athletes, often in remote environments, he creates imagery that reflects both the landscape and the people shaped by it.
